Get Outside of the BoxOur Get Outside of the Box program offers a wide variety of Outings geared towards expanding the minds of our participants. We are breaking the barriers of social and cultural dividers by allowing our participants to not only experience other cultures, more importantly to understand them and relate to their humanity. When this expansion of the mind takes place, then the individual through knowledge grows and develops into a bridge maker, instead of a road block. With our 7 points of success we are looking to transform the mentalities of Our communities to think Us, instead of Me, in hopes of destroying the hate and bigotry that is based on lack of knowledge, not only of other people, but of self.

Build A Bike Workshops
The Build A Bike Workshop teaches our youth to "Work with your hands and not with your thumbs" Providing the participants (some of which have never built anything outside of minecraft) the ability to feel the rewarding satisfaction of building a tangible item that they are then able to use for their enjoyment, as well as feel a sense of ownership and responsibility that only comes from a hard days work and the sweet benefit that comes from it. We conduct a 2 mile celebratory bike ride and a graduation ceremony were they are not only given a certificate, they are given the bikes that they fixed. This has a profound impact psychologically.

Save A Child Camping TripIn today's world of media and gaming systems, our children have become desensitized to the wonders that are right in front of them, what this does is dulls their sense of appreciation for the basic needs that are met on a daily basis by hard working parents who receive little or no gratitude because of the instant gratification mentality that has engulfed our youth. Our program takes them away from these luxuries and allows them to see the world absent of wifi service. In this state we then look to build and strengthen them with our 7 points of success. While of course sprinkling in a whole lot of fun.

Mentor Program
This program utilizes commonly excepted and culturally relevant practices coupled with our 7 points to success, to develop the mentalities of our participants. Every person has a unique struggle and one can only begin to scratch the surface of an issue if the one in need of help does not want any help. We know this very well and have developed a system of trust based and goal orientated outings and events that allow us to interact and relate before we diagnose and medicate. We have had great success with those who have been consistent with us, and consistency is the key. We can not microwave our issues, its more like a slow roast. Get ready for the journey. In Community, it truly takes a village.

Nature HikeIn This Activity we bring together different age brackets of children in one event and allow the children to learn the different roles of leadership and subordination, coupled with comradery. When this stage is complete we take our advanced group into basic wilderness training in preparation to attend more wilderness based hikes and any of our camping trips. In this we hope to not only build awareness to the outdoors and it's many secrets. More importantly we are working to allow each individual to get to know them selves so they can fit cohesively in society and further the community. Not every body is the king , nor is everyone a pawn, the reality is that only when all the pieces play their role does the game become cohesive.

Violence, Anger Management, and Prevention Workshop (VAMP)
VAMP has been put in place for our youth, specifically, to alleviate the destructive behaviors that have increased amongst the youth of today. We are focusing on breaking social barriers, cultural stereotypes, mental health stigma, trauma, abuse, bullying, and the adverse effects of gangs in our communities. This effort has been enhanced with our L.A.S.I. coalition, spearheaded by the director of the Sokoto house and co-author of the evidence based violence prevetion strategy, layed out in the cooperative effort of Quality Life Blueprint, Advance Youth Outreach, and CHASM (Community Healing through Activism & Strategic Mobilization).
